Nurturing Green Talent in Hong Kong: Understanding Climate Risk and Valuation
RegisterIn-person info session for the CFA Institute Climate Risk, Valuation, and Investing Certificate
Hosted by CFA Institute, CFA Society Hong Kong
Climate change poses significant financial risks, but it also opens up new opportunities in sectors like renewable energy, green infrastructure, and green financial instruments. As a growing green finance hub, Hong Kong is uniquely positioned to leverage these opportunities while addressing the associated risks. Hong Kong’s growing emphasis on low-carbon initiatives and the increasing demand for green finance talent highlight the industry’s evolving landscape.
Recognizing the need for skilled professionals, the Hong Kong government has allocated HK$200 million to the Pilot Green and Sustainable Finance Capacity Building Support Scheme. This initiative subsidizes training and professional qualifications in sustainable finance, ensuring a well-equipped workforce.
To further support this development, CFA Institute has introduced the Climate Risk, Valuation, and Investing Certificate to provide practitioners with practical knowledge through an interactive learning mode, enabling them to integrate climate-related investing principles into their investment processes effectively. Please join us at this event to find out more.
