Private Markets Webinar Series
RegisterHosted by CFA Institute
Private financial markets have experienced meteoric growth since the global financial crisis, with significant impact on both the financial markets and the real economy. Allocations to this category has risen from approximately $3.8 trillion in 2014 to $13.1 trillion in 2023, according to McKinsey’s Global Private Markets Review. The trend is expected to continue as private market allocation is increasingly seen as an integral part of a well-diversified portfolio, not just for institutional investors but also for high-net-worth and other individual investors.
Although private markets offer potentially higher returns than public equities, challenges still exist, with accessibility, illiquidity, and lack of transparency being cited as common issues.
To explore this shift and to understand the opportunities from both an institutional and an individual perspective, CFA Institute has organized a series of webinars on private equity and venture capital, private credit, real estate investments, and hedge funds.
Addressing the industry's need for talent development in this dynamic sector, CFA Institute also offers professional learning focusing on key concepts, insights, and practical skills required of analysts or associates in private markets, aiming to equip professionals with the necessary knowledge and expertise to navigate the industry effectively.
Whether you are an existing investor or an asset owner looking to allocate to private markets, a candidate seeking a career in a private equity firm, or an alternatives specialist, this series will help you achieve a better understanding of the private markets landscape, their benefits and challenges, and how you can leverage on this ongoing trend.
