How ASEAN Equity Managers have Navigated an Evolving Investment Landscape
Webinar Presentation
Download PDFOverview
ASEAN equities have traditionally been dominated by "old economy" sectors such as banks, industrials, and consumer staples. However, the pandemic propelled the emergence and popularity of new economy stocks like Sea and GoTo, reshaping the investment landscape, as reflected in a number of benchmark composition and inclusion rule changes. Although this has somewhat stalled recently amid market headwinds, a structural transformation of the ASEAN investment landscape is underway. Based on the recent report Equity Managers Have Navigated an Evolving Investment Landscape, published by Morningstar. This webinar aimed to shed light on the market shift as well as explore how managers we cover navigated these changes with varying levels of success.
