Webinar Presentation: Improving Transparency and Comparability of Investment Products with ESG-related Features

Overview

CFA Institute has issued a Consultation Paper on the CFA Institute ESG Disclosure Standards for Investment Products - a new, voluntary, global industry standard to establish disclosure requirements for investment products with ESG-related features.

The purpose of the standard is to provide greater transparency and comparability for investors by enabling asset managers to clearly communicate the ESG-related features of their investment products. The standard also aims to establish disclosure requirements and procedures for independent examination. It is distinctly different from other standards that seek to establish disclosure requirements for corporate issuers, to prescribe requirements for the labelling or rating of securities or investment products, or to define best practices for a strategy or approach.

In this webinar, we provide an overview of the Consultation Paper and answer questions from participants.

Speakers:

  • Chris Fidler, Senior Director, Global Industry Standards, CFA Institute
  • Deborah Kidd, Director, Global Industry Standards, CFA Institute
  • Mary Leung, CFA, Head, Advocacy, APAC, CFA Institute
